Dishwasher safe, but the wooden handle does not stay as nice after repeated washings. Therefore, we recommend hand washing.

Thor Bjørklund from Lillehammer invented and patented the cheese slicer in 1925. Since its inception in 1925, more than 60 million cheese slicers have been produced and sold to a large part of the world. Even though the cheese slicer is now copied and sold under other brand names, the original Norwegian slicer from Bjørklund still holds a strong position in Norway and other cheese-eating countries worldwide.
